This year\u2019s e-mail vote was conducted by the Classic Horror Film Board, a 26-year old online community.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>In individual categories, UCLA film archivest <strong>Scott MacQueen<\/strong> was named Monster Kid of the Year (Rondo&#8217;s highest honor), for his tireless work restoring the early Technicolor chiller, MYSTERY OF THE WAX MUSEUM.\u00a0 Horror and cultural critic <strong>Kelly Robinson<\/strong> was voted Best Writer, <strong>Mark Spears<\/strong> was voted Best Artist, and LITTLE SHOPPE OF HORRORS editor <strong>Dick Klemensen<\/strong> was recognized for his decades of research into Hammer films.<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0\u00a0 Other winners ranged from director <strong>Sam Irvin<\/strong> for his three-hour commentary on the restoration of FRANKENSTEIN: THE TRUE STORY, to a book collecting\u00a0 paintings that preceded Rod Serling&#8217;s NIGHT GALLERY.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.yuku.com\/image\/jpeg\/c811564e7e8e42f5323c13b940636f147c63a06.JPG\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0 Monster Kid Hall of Fame inductees included several fandom pioneers &#8212; <strong>Stacie Ponder<\/strong>, whose early blog, Final Girl, helped shatter barriers in horror appreciation; <strong>Derek M. Koch<\/strong>, whose Monster Kid podcast was among the first devoted to classic horror; the late writer and former Monster Times editor <strong>Joe Kane<\/strong>, aka as the Phantom of the Movies; the late author <strong>Michael Robert &#8216;Bobb&#8217; Cotter<\/strong>, and Chicago TV legend <strong>Rich Koz<\/strong>, who as horror host Svengoolie has won 10 Rondos over the years.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0\u00a0Below you\u2019ll find all the winners, along with runners-up and honorable mentions.
